Slick Cutouts Update

Post by Truckrat »

Ok, I finally was able to go visit with the new vendors here last Sunday the 21. We made some refinements to the trucks here and there and changed around some things to make them look better including the wheel treatments. Basically they are the same as the last bunch I posted before with the white and two toned white and red cutouts. They are also on my profile if you want to see them that way.
The prices for them to do the cutouts range from $22 - $25 depending on if you want a shortbed, longbed, or crewcab truck. The longer the truck is, the extra buck or two or three. Now, I know this is over double what the other place did them for, but the other vendor has to have orders for a minimum of 25 trucks to get them for the same price ($10) as before.
These new guys don't have a minimum order and can do them in a couple of days. So, with this in mind, how many of you want to put a big order of 25 trucks together and how many want to order some and get them back a lot sooner? Your choice on this. Just let me hear from you all about what you want to do. Everyone who was on the first order was real happy with the ones they got. I hope to see them posted on here soon. I know they are a ton easier to paint than the real ones. Lol! So, you guys give me feedback on what you want to do. Thanks! TR

I'm for the less expensive option. I'd get 2 at $10.

Truckrat,
Do you have the computer images for these trucks? I have an idea to run buy a friend of mine that does sandblasting but he will need the computer images for this.

Slick Cutouts

Post by Truckrat »

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I need to mention a few more things here about ordering and shipping. We can order from either vendor, but to get the trucks at the $10 price we have to have a 25 truck order, otherwise they are $15 each plus shipping. If we order from the new vendors, there is no minimum order, but I would like to have several orders at a time to send in. It is about a 100 mile run round trip for me to pick them up. I don't mind doing it, just not practical for one or two. Their prices are $22-25 each plus shipping. Last orders I did were all over $5 each for shipping, so might have to adjust that a bit. PM me with any questions you have and I will be happy to answer them.

BTW, would any of you be interested in a cutout of the grill like in your truck? I think I can get them to do those, too. What do you think?

Slick Cutouts

Post by Truckrat »

I talked to the folks over at the new vendors again and they said they would do the short bed trucks for $22 each and the long bed trucks including crewcabs for $24 each. So...........with that in mind, how many want to get in on this order I am putting together? I have about 5 or 6 so far. Keep in mind that shipping will average about $7 per truck, since most of the last bunch were all over the $5 range by a buck or two. I estimated lower than I should have on that one. My fault.
Sorry about the higher price on the trucks, but that is cheaper than the $28 - 30 they were originally talking about. So I got them down about $6 from that. Not too bad, but as I had said before, the old vendor still wants a minimum order of 25 to get them for $10 each. If I could, I'd have him make up a dozen of each and bring them to SS, but I need to fix my truck with that money, so.......... TR

Old Vendor

Anyone who wants to order a cutout from the old vendor can order them in what ever number they want, and they are $15 each plus shipping for quantities less than 25. TR
