22gal mustang tank sending unit wireing?

i have the 70 mustang tank with the sending unit. my question is how do i get the sending unit to make my gas gauge work? any help would be awesome! thanks

You run a wire from the stud on the sender to the back of your instrument panel or the gauge.
18 gauge is plenty big enough.
This wire is a ground. There is a ~4 volt power source going to the + side of the gauge.
The way to check the gauge before you hook it up is to simply run a jumper from the gauge directly to ground and watch the needle.
