C6 Crossmember?

My '66 shortbed has a 302 and C6 sitting in place. However, the transmission is setting on a piece of square tubing used as a spacer to get the correct driveshaft angle. I would like to know if there is a commercially available crossmember made to install the C6 in my '66 F100 shortbed?
Thanks all.

Or, is there an adapter available I can use to mount the C6 to the factory crossmember?

The 302 is mounted to high on the incorrect perches.
Common mistake.

Thanks for the info. Since I didn't install these, I am trying to figure this out. What engine perches do I need and where do I get them?

Hi,
You need to find perches from the early model truck that came with an 302.
Junk yard is where I found them and they bolt right in.

It is also possible that you have the correct perches, but they are bolted into the wrong holes.
With the correct perches in the correct holes, a C-6 behind an FE and a different C-6 behind a 460 all bolted properly onto the same stock original crossmember in my Slick that came with a 3 speed.

I used the original crossmember when installing the 460/C-6 in my 66 but had to drill holes farther back.

the perches yo uneed are in 69-79 2wd trucks. they mount in the front holes of the crossmember. the back set of holes is for the fe and 460 only. the front set is for 302 and 6 cyl only.
