Ignition Switch Disassembly
There is a very small hole as you look at the front of the switch. Insert a straightened out paperclip in the hole and the assembly should slide out. You may have to turn the key slightly to do this.

Like Mike says, you have to drill the cylinder out.
Use a 1/4" bit and drill the "center" out until the little brass tumblers fall out and you can pull it out of the housing.
Do not drill all the way thru the lock cylinder into the back of the switch.
A new '64-66 Mustang ignition cylinder will go right back in the hole, and if you buy the set with door locks, they'll work too if you change the arms to the ones on your old door locks. Remove the "c" clip and put the old arms on the new locks.

i wont ask,as i have heard it before.
i am also lucky that i have so many extra old ford keys, and a lot of the lock cyls. are very worn that i can usually find a key to work to get the old one out.
i never throw a ford key away.

E-bay??
Don't pay much for them if you do bid on them.
Look in Dennis Carpenter/ Carolina Classics or Bulldog Tom's catalog and see what you can buy them new for.
Mustang cylinders are a direct interchange and Russell at Mustang Mania in Katy or John's in Bellaire has them in stock.

Seems there is a pretty competative market on ebay for stang parts, which means that as I recall, I paid less than half there for my keys (4), two door units and the ignition tumbler, compared to DC. They seem to work and look fine........
But its true -- ebay is a strange market -- sometime the deals are great, and sometimes NOT.
