MadMaxetc's 1963 Build

Post by MadMaxetc »

I Realized that I had not started a Project Build Thread for my 63.

Most everything I have done to date is on my Website.

Pictures are all on my Photobucket 63 Pictures Site.

I need to Update it. (Maybe that's what I will do tonight.)

- I have it 80% disassembled.
- Front End Welding is 75% Complete. Just have to do the Engine Mounts and the Sway Bar Mounts.
- I have all the Main parts for the Dakota, just need to get the Ball Joints replace and the Steering Rack Mod done.

The Next major step is to remove the Cab and Bed and get to work on the rest of the frame.

- 4-Link Rear.
- Drive Shaft Loop
- Frame Stiffening
- Maybe Shorten the frame. (go to a SWB)

I need to pick a Trans soon. ZF5 Speed sounds cool...I like Manuals. Have a C6 on hand.

More Pictures to come as soon as I move into the New Shop in JULY!

it`s easy!
the wheels are connected to the axles
the axles are connected to the Chassis
the chassis is connected to the body
I don`t know what we worry about!
it sounds easy to me! :rotflmao:
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

Wow! That'll be great to have a new, uncluttered shop to start working in. I'd like to have one of those!

Nice! I like the blueprint in your pics too. Looks like they're taking advantage of the nice weather as well.

I had it built by "The Barn Guys"
$19k in it right now. After Electrical and Finishing the inside it shouls be less than $25k

Very good deal for 30' x 40'.

Awesome sized shop! I have enough crap for half of that right now but in a week would probably have it filled up.

Now you need some good ol tin signs for the walls, good sound system, the before-mentioned fridge and you're fallout shelter/bunker is complete!!
