Alan, I have six chain dogs and about the same number of chains, I also have cargo tie down straps and ratchets, I have two ratchets that have chain tails on them, plus my trailer has ratchets welded on the sides of the trailer. I have two basket straps for tying down wheels. Now I am sure you are totally confused.

Nope!, we use ratchet straps to tie our Dingo down!, their slippery little bugger`s!
Alan, That Dingo looks like a Bobcat with no place to sit.. what, do you just operate it from the back? What if it's raining? Everybody goes home?
and the only thing I have ever heard those "chain dogs" or "binders" called is Boomers, but maybe that's because of the oil industry up here too. A lot of Texas lingo transferred up to Alberta with the oil and cattle industries.
