Surplus Part - need some help

Found this extra part in the garage after my rebuild. Can anyone tell me where it goes?
At Pizza in KC Tues night Gerald said a BFH might be handy -- does this one look about right?

Me too ... all I can think of is one of them new fangled armrests. It's a little big, but I be he could make it fit ... mighty nice !!!

Looks about right, just needs a shorter handle. You gotta get the knuckles involved.

I think it goes just in front of the glovebox and runs the heater.
