Slick 60's

I had my new gaskets, cleaned the glass, found a couple helpers, dish detergent, and forgot my rope for flipping the rubber lip over the metal lip. Ran to the local hardware store, all cotton and nylon rope they had was 3/8" or bigger, so picked up some heavy duty weed eater line. Wasn't a good choice. In tight spots the nylon weedeater line will tend to cut the gasket! Luckily my helpers were very good, so I only have a few tears or nicks in the rear glass gasket.

I may eventually try to glue the tears back with some sort of solvent, but for now it is hold and the tears are not spreading.

Not quite ready to do the windshield yet, but when the time comes I will get a better product to get the gasket lip flipped into place.

a good cotton rope and lots of sope and wated and some one to help push it in to place as you pull on the rope from the inside of the cab this is how i do it with out any problems

I used 10gauge electrical wire, holds it shape till you pull it. NOTE: make sure you run your fingers over the frame lip to file down any burrs.

What size or thickness of rope do you use?

either the 12-10 ga wire or pull-starter rope works good
chainsaw, lawnmower type.

I guess I don't get where and how this works. Anyone have a drawing or video?
