4x4 label

Post by quietwyatt »

For you 4x4 guys. Does anyone have the 4x4 stickers that goes on the visor that is in good enough shape that they could have a print shop make new ones. There are 2 of them. One with instructions and the other has a picture of a truck on different angles discribing what gear to use for what. Iceman and I talked about this at SS. I'm sure they would be good sellers if kept at a reasonable price. I really didn't do a search on them but assume they are not reproduced. I know club members are always looking for ideas to reproduce for those who want and need the parts.
Just thought I'de put this out there for someone with the skills or ways to have them done.
Thanks
Wyatt

My visor doesn't have them. I'd like a set of them also.

I've thought the same thing for the decals that were in the glove box for jacking points or similar. Not sure if they even had one for Slicks but I've seen all of the decals you can get in Mac's, LMC, etc. catalogs but seem to be missing some still.

My truck has the pattern on the left side of the visor nothing else. I thought the other one the angles was on Internationals?
I saw this on another site scared.gif

Yup, That's the one on the left side of the visor. Now there is also a smaller one just to the right of it with small printed instructions.
Good job, Now we need the other one and then someone to reproduce them for us.

Heres the one on the right side next to the pic instruction. It is for how to use the front hubs.

Mine is not in the best shape but I might be able to take it to a decal shop and see if they can duplicate it. And make it look right.

Heres the gear and transfer case decale. I should be able to duplicate this one and get them to make it in the proper size.

F7BIGJOB sounds like you have a better decal for the trans case. I can work on the hub instruction decal.

I bought those from a guy while I was overseas. He mailed them to my mother-in-laws, and I have not seen them yet. I forgot to have her send them to me. I will ask her and let you know who mailed them to me!

I can not remember where I talked with him at, but the following is his information good quality. 4x6 sticker he printed up for me!: I sent him $10 for the sticker, so send him an e-mail and ask him to send you a pic. He only had the picture of the truck on different elevations.

Jason, Without looking I think they are paper. They are grey in color to match the visor. I can't believe they haven't been mass produced for resale.

I did find this, They have the decal for the glove box lid. Lots of other decals too but not the ones we are looking for. Could they get them made? I'm going to do more searching. :D

Jason it is like a paper material. I would think an update to vinal would be a better option. Im sure it would last longer. QW I dont think there are enough people out there restoring stock 4x4s plus the trucks themselves were not mass produced. Just my thought as to why these are not available. In the weeks to come Ill take my visor to some sign and decal shops and see if they can come up with something. If not for myself for others on this site.

Vinyl would look great if you could get it to stick to the visor..

The reason I ask if it is paper is a person could go to a office supply store and buy peal & stick sheets of paper. It is the same material as the labels used on letters/mail.. A person could buy that peal & stick and make or just print the stickers at home.

Something like this.. :P
