One Year Daily-Driver

Post by shakespearesdad »

I got rid of my 2005 Expedition and the $540.00/month payment one year ago today. I decided that my paid-for Slick would be my new daily ride. In the past year I've driven my '65 F100 20,950 miles.
During the past year my Slick only let me down one time. (Clogged fuel filters due to the 10% Ethanol eating away the lining of my gas tank)
All I've done is oil changes every 3000 miles and stop at a gas station every 4 days. :(
In the last 6 weeks I've hauled 25,000 pounds of limestone, 8,000 pounds of topsoil, and about 4,000 square feet of sod.
I love my Slick 8)

That is impressive, and great to hear. My Dad bought his 66 1/2, short bed in 69 and drove it until he bought a 2001 ford Lariat, even then after he restored the ol 66 he still preferred driving the old truck. 8)
