The Ultimate Slick
The Ultimate Slick
Here my friend is the ultimate slick that will haul anything anywhere in high style. This truck is not for the shy type, because every truck stop you go in you will be besieged by on lookers.

I hope I always stay crazy, because I know if I ever become sane, it will drive me crazy.

Very nice styling, flows very well. Too bad Ford never made a long N or especially a long F (super duty style), there would have been plenty of room for the big 335 Cummins. It seems Ford was more interested high cabovers for long haul during this era. '61 thru '65 H series (aka 2 story Falcon) and the '66 and up W series (the box) .
With a long nose N they could have put any type of power in it. Anything from a V12 Detroit to a 1693 Cat. It would have been one fine truck. One of these days I may do that with my N, it would not be hard to do. The hardest thing would be the extended hood.

Welcome Dennis, we need more big truck guys here, I need the allies to give me support when I get in trouble with the rest of the guys here.
Robert: I guess it would have to be a tilt hood, I can't see trying to fabricate a butter fly hood for it. Were I going to spec it out I would have to go with one of my favorite truck engines of all time the 1693 Cat and a fifteen speed tranny. Were I a little younger I would probbly put a 4X4 in it for a tranny. I would think that 370 rears would be a good choice. Give it a good wheel base say about 250 and you would have a Super Cruiser that would run with just about any of them.

Michelle I will come down this summer and we can start making your "Super N". We can start with this N from Barclays.

That long N would just be the chit!
Drop a nice double wide sleeper behind the cab, Cummins ISX, dual stacks, and a 13 and you'd be set.
Would have to be painted Turquoise/White though.
Be cool to see it painted 2 tone like the smaller trucks too.
Maybe Scallops.
