I love the 'Giant' look of the rig, plus with my new color scheme on my 1965 F100 Long Flareside, I think this would be the perfect hauler.....
(not that the F100 would ever be a Trailer Queen).
Truth be told, I just want this Big Rig.
I could see it from over 1/4 mile from the highway, as I was driving by. I doubled back, and checked it out.
The year and engine, etc., are a little vague to me now. But it was for sale, and it was in impeccable condition.
I'll let the photographs, and your collective decipering/interpretations, fill in the blanks.

I know it's not a Slick by definition, that's why, in part, I referred to it as a 'Big Slick'. It does look a lot to me like my 65 F100 on steroids.

It is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and due to its distance from home, I did not take the idea of buying it too seriously.... it was just too far from San Diego, CA.

you don't see many of those around here set up as tractors like that one is. mostly just old u-haul box trucks.

Yes, that is a great looking truck, way better looking than the fiberglass junk that came out in 1980. Last of an era, where medium duty and heavy duty Fords had all steel front end and traditional use of the pickup hood.Heavier trucks always had lower production numbers, so this F 800 is much harder to find than a F 600. The real star of this era was the F880, yes F 880, Ford stuffed a 475 (refined version of the 477 Super Duty) under the hood of this style green truck. The '73 thru '78 F500 thru F 800's used refined FT engines (330,361,391 XD)(Extra Duty). In 1979, the new Lima 370 and 429 engines were used in this style of truck.
