Who can identify this first !

Post by foodstick »

I could have sworn I posted this earlier. I must have pushed the preview, and not the post button.

This old car was evidently buried along the local lake years ago when they built it..recent flooding really cleaned it up and set it out in the open..

Anyone know its make and model?

Bumpers and dash is about all that has much to tell anymore.

From front suspension it looks like 54-56 Ford. From bumpers and what is left of hood hinge it is more like 54 Ford.

If that steering wheel is correct for '54, it's not a '54. The mound in question has a 2 spoke wheel. It almost looks like a Dali painting.

Looks to me like the 55-56 ford dash is the closest.. the cut in the dash for the guage cluster goes nearly to the windshield...,and seems to be centered on the column.

Little rust but fixable. 54 I'm thinking but could be a 55 two bar wheel could be either year if I remmbember right, and the four bar was the accesory wheel that was shown in that 54 in the picture.
