AltoonaPalooza Aug 27th 2011

Post by Kid »

I will be working on the Altoona Palooza show again this Year. This is the all Day event that we went to during SlickStock in Altoona Iowa. This Year we will be running 2 shows at the same time. We will have one for up to 1980 vehicles and one for 1981 to present. I am in charge of this show so if anyone will be in the area or want to come for the Show let me know, I could use all the vehicles I can get............Kid

Been talking to a few members who are considering attending. Lots of local people who were at last Years Show have asked if all the cool old trucks will be there again this Year.

This is the number for the Settle Inn in Altoona if you are wanting to come for Altoona Palooza next weekend. When you call ask for Cindy and tell her you are with Slick 60's truck club. It is a little more than I had hoped but she told me $95 a nite . Cindy is off work on Tues and Wed ..................Darrell

Had a pretty good time yesterday Mark ( doc6369) came down from Wis to help and we had almost 60 cars . We had alot of people ask where all the trucks were and said how cool it was last year to see them all.

I did not get to see much mud volleyball again this Year but I did try to get over to the pits to watch the people from my office play. I did not see the pink bikini this Year but there was a lot more mud and a lot less water this year so everything and everyone was mud brown.
