65 F100 4x4 parts truck turns project

the stuff i have is much thicker than what you find under plaster.
the wire thickness is close to .125.

Ive been busy when I can putting the truck back together after full prime job. My wife is getting involved to and she made a new carpet to install in the truck.

Just a quick one of the front of the truck with all the trim back on and the inside with the carpet layed out but not completely installed it was getting dark outside so had to call it quits.

Thanks guys Ill let her know what you said. I didnt have time to get a pic of the seat installed as we put it in that night and then took off for the car show and cruze. I got a pick of the seat and interior after we got back today.
Edit: I forgot to add my wife redid the seat too. One of her first reupholster jobs. Not to bad for the first time we have to pull it back out and pull it a bit tighter.




A few shots of the completed truck for the season. Lots of the younger crowd liked the truck in the flat black color. I only made it that color as it is the epoxy prime to hold it for a few years until its time for a complete restoration.

Taking the scenic route home stopped by the Pend Oreille river to see the view.

Toying with a few ideas for a few shows to come this summer.



It will sit on a lightbar with a siren that works and some big gold stars on the doors. Magnetic signage. Johnson county

I like it. Being in a family of Firefighters, if its got a red light on top its automatically cool!! Lol
With the paint scheme, Sheriff star and the complete light bar, I think it will look pretty neat. Looking forward to see it all done.

Hey Highboy, The old beast is looking good. I like the idea of the cop truck. Maybe the gold star should read
" SLICK COUNTY PATROL"
"JOHNSON COUNTY HOT ROD PATROL", or
"JOHNSON COUNTY SNOW PATROL"

Never did get a clear answer on why that con rod was that color. Others said they had seen them in that color.

Did you ever get the Star on the truck...??

Keep up the good Work....I am hoping to go see a few more crew cabs today.....I got wind of a guy who has been sitting on 4-5 of the 61-66 crew body trucks forever, but they are hidden way off the beaten path....So we are going to go visit them today.....Hoping they aren't totally cancer'd out.....

Have not progressed much since the last pics. Same. Life has a way of getting in the way of hobbies. LOl. Ill jump in a little harder on that next summer if I can find the time. We are actually building a house on the river you see in the pics. It will be on the Washington side. The pic with the river in the backround is on the Idaho side. In the middle of the river is the state line. The garage on the house will be 30'x40'. It will be heated and air conditioned. I wont know how to act. It will probably be a few years before we get to that point. Retirement house. Thanks for the comp on the truck to 64crew. Means a lot coming from a fellow 4wd slickster.
