Passing the Test

Like most folks in this country,

I have a job. I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program

"URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians

should have to pass a urine test too!

Lord knows they wouldn't pass an IQ test!!!

TR.

The info you posted is "old news" had made the rounds several times. I will respond same as I did when Fanatic ( I believe, my memory is clouded from drugs of the prescription kind) posted. I am not in favor of giving our government anymore rights than they already take.

Please don't mistake my response as a pro drug statement more of an anti-government intrusion one! I am sure that there are people who are guilty of the offence and should be off the gov. payroll. However aren't we already paying gov. employees to moniter and correct the issue this post concerns? Here is a novel idea, Why don't we require those workers to do the job they are payed to do?

This is like those who scream about the illegals here getting benefits and healthcare. but have no problem with those who illegally employ them!

we could save some money, but not as much as we could collect if we actually closed all the loopholes and got all the money that is owed from companies. Offshore accounts, oil companies, and other billionaires paying pennies.

I say COLLECT taxes before we worry about cutting them

as long as everyone from the president down is required to be tested.

since that will not happen it will be just another interference by politicians who will exempt themselves.

i, like Obsa, do not make this as a pro drug statement.

my taxes also go to pay the politicians who are not concerned about how much they spend. they have spent us nearly broke and continue to do nothing to stop. one tired sorry excuse after another is all that is offered. neither "side" can seem to come up with a solution.

No worries here either TR. I just cant see giving the gov. more power when they abuse and ignore the laws/power they already have.
