Thanks everyone, I have a 1964 F-100 long box. I 'm planning on building soon. My wife has other plans for me most of the time. Doesn't leave much time for too many thing's.
I've checked out the site before, I looked at the tech info and found some really helpful stuff. I haven't made up my mind to what I want to do with my truck. I've been thinking of having it sub-framed for the ride and braking.
But I don't really want to cut it up either. It's a complete truck, I know I can add disc brakes to it without any trouble. I don't want the nose down in the weeds look either. I like the stock ride height. It needs new floor pans, body mounts I down loaded a copy of some plans someone posted. She has a straight 6 in it. Still woundering if I should pull it and put a small block in it's place or not with gas prices being what they are. I'll post some pitures as soon as I figure out how to.
I'm from Michigan, I'm a maintenace supervisor & firefighter. Skippy is the name that stuck when I came on the department years ago. Being a new guy I wanted to do everything. The Chief asked one of the older guys to take me and start flushing hydrants. He replied (yeppy skippy) and skippy stuck to me. F-15 is my call number. skippyf15 was born and the rest is history.[/i]

I've found that it's pretty much a universal truth for wives to find 'other' things for us guys to do. Enjoy your project.

Welcome aboard Skippy!
I can't tell much about your truck in the photos, but I like the sign in the bed. Hope to see some outdoor pics sometime. Since it is a 64, and you don't really want to drop it down low, just going through and replacing spring bushings, shocks, tie rod ends, and converting over to power steering will make it drive real good. As far as the engine, if it is the 300 six, you have a great engine already. There are a lot of guys on here that run sixes, and the 300 is the best of them all. I call em stump pullers.
They'll out pull most V-8s except the big big blocks. Hope to see you at Slick Stock 08.
