Cool License Plates

Post by azjake »

I like to check out license plates as I go down the road and have seen some pretty good ones. Here are a couple...

On a Caddy driven by an old couple, proud of their car and intitials, but the plates sent a different message

METLET1

On a very nice, new Ford 4x4 truck, jacked up & customized very nicely and driven by a young, petite, good looking blond gal...

TOOKIT

A family friend in Illinois sent in an application for vanity plates many years ago, but his application was rejected because it was obscene. He walked into DMV with the rejected application and wanted to know why it was obscene? He told them, "That is my name!"

What funny or unique plates have you seen?

Coolest one I've ever seen was a Marine AV-8 Harrier pilot's corvette plate that read: AV8TOR
"If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them."

Yep, that was the plate that you were going to give me when I was visiting Talkeetna, Alaska but I never made it over to your house. Then I saw it in the grab pile at Slickstock III in KC and had to make a mad grab for it to claim it.

It's now proudly hanging in my garage. Texas plate: Slick S
"If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them."

A couple years back I saw a Toyota Prius with "SEMPR FI" plates on it. My son-in-law said that was just wrong.
