weatherstrip questions?

Post by LRS30 »

Who do you guys use for aftermarket rubber. Who makes a good quality part? I need the Vent window rubber, and the window track piece where the window meets the door at the top.

Vent window rubber from LMC is ok. But don't bother with the door rubber from them.

you can't go wrong with Dennis Carpenter. He uses the original tooling, so you know it is going to fit.

Denis Carpenter 110%, I have screwed around with the other stuff and it is not worth it, spend the extra for the good stuff and skip the frustrations.

The DC stuff from Tom costs very little more than the cheap LMC that doesn't fit right.

sounds like LMC and MACs sell the same crap rubber.

the door gasket had to slammed to death, the vent gaskets were so sticky one of the windows broke....

now the vent rubber is all cracked to death, it was going bad within 5 years.
