instrument panel seal
Alright, are you supposed to glue the seal on?it's so small I would think it would make a mess. It's been 6 yrs. since I had one, but I bought it and would like to put it on, Would've thought of would have fit a little tighter. It does okay around the top but when you get around the corner it pops off everytime you go to tighten it down. So glue or no glue and just deal with it (about tired of the later option)

IIFC, I used a tiny little bit of weatherstipping glue. Just enough to hold it at those points where its doing an inside curve and refused to stay put....
But the tape idea sounds better and less messy....
Once its been in there for a year or two, it gets stiffer and stay in place when you take the cluster out.

Thanks for the reminder. I took mine off when I had the instrument panel insert powder coated. Not a clue where it is now. Will have to take a look around. Wonder if anyone repops those?

They must repop them, I bought it a couple of years ago and just found it. I bought from Tom @ flashback's. I will try the tape trick, really don't want the mess, CD I see you know the exact areas I was talking about, Thanks.

Might be a dumb question, but I don't remember a instrument panel seal when I took my cluster out.. Where does it go? Between the instrument panel and the dash? What is the purpose?

I used a piece of door edgeguard. I didnt want the black line around the bezel. I used gray but other colors are available.

I seem to remember there being a small staple holding the ends together!,
I`ll have to re do Lenore`s some day!, as it hangs out at the bottom, I was waiting for a set of new cab screws and they came awhile back so it may be my next project!, I don`t think the black stands out too much Charlie! , old pic!

Just trying to stay away from the black and yellow thing. Gray/yellow is where I'm at
