A buddy of mine has been working on his old Galaxie for about 2 years off and on and just got it back on the road.
He had it over having the headliner installed and I went by to see it.
He got new wheels and tires put on it now so I snapped some pics of it.

It has a 429 in it and really surprises some folks thinking its just an old farts car. TR

I remember that movie. Some crooked sheriff (Ned Beatty) killed his younger brother by taking him out
in the swamp and weighing him down with concrete blocks and dumping him in the water.
Gator McClusky (Burt Reynolds) was there working for the government undercover to gather evidence
on illegal moonshine operations and who was running it. Remember the guy with the big Mercury,
Rebel Roy, (Bo Hopkins)? His girlfriend (what's her name) offered Gator some "Shakey Puddin".
And yes, original wheels and caps would be more suttle for sure.
I think Charles was tired of that and wanted some bling on the car.
Anyhow, it turned out real nice inside and out. TR

Nice ride.
I'll have to get a pic of the REALLY clean snow white - no vinyl top early 70s Caddy coupe I see on my way home.
Hope he moves it before he gets flooded.
You guys are dangerous - I keep eyeballing sleds lately.

you don't know how close i am to pulling the trigger on this one. i had a 65 montclair and it ran like a raped ape. then i saw a 63 with a 4 speed last weekend at cruisin'kci and now i am tripping on having another one.
i just can't justify it or find a place to keep it.

...at least you'll have plenty of room. Nothing quite like the glow of DC lighting in your mobile home on four wheels
