Make your own dashpad at home!

Post by 557f1 »

I finally got around to making my dash pad,

I first wax the dash were I was going to lay the fibre glass and a little bit further,I used bees wax,two good coats ,

I bought 1kg of polyerster resin and catalyst,
enough fibreglass mat to give it to coats,

This is it after it had dried overnight

This is after I removed it from the dash.

All trimmed to fit .

Now after a few hours of sanding body filler to get it smooth ,

I used 3mm closed cell foam them used vinyl to finish it,the colour is wedgewood blue,

Wow thanks . I'm very honored,

There are a lot of talented people in this club and they deserve to share the award with me .

Will this award come with a trophy and can I drink beer out of it.

Now Bill, if only you could get your hands on a R/hand drive one and graft the two together!, and make a dual handed dash!, I`d reckon you could make a Motza on them! 8)
