Slick 60's Calendar Available Now!!!

Post by Hookedtrout »

Calendar is done, didn't get a whole lot of interest but enough to get it done, if you sent pictures large enough to be in the calendar you should have an email letting you know you made it in the calendar, Please read it before you purchase a calendar.

Based on the lack of interest I'm letting Lulu.com handle the sales as I don't dare invest a ton and end up eating them. I only received 10 emails with pictures that were large enough to use and some of those needed to be a bit bigger. I added a photo of my truck and a picture of some old Slicks in a field to fill in the December month, plus the one of Cam which was placed on the cover shot with the caption that was requested.

If you are interested in purchasing a calendar they are available here. Hope you all like it.

Thanks Dan, for a first attempt I guess it turned out ok. If I wasn't in the middle of hunting season I could probably played around a bit more. I do know they offer various types and sizes but the go from $15 to $25 in a hurry if you start picking the heavy gloss large paper, wasn't sure how much everyone was willing to pay, guess we try this and see how they are.

Just previewed the calender Cory and you did a nice job.
Wish mine would have been in it, but maybe next time.
Can I send a check to Lulu for it by mail? TR

Not sure if Lulu takes checks or not, I haven't bought one yet, been hunting with my kid every day and haven't taken the time to get mine ordered. I would guess like everything on the net it takes a card or Paypal or something along those lines.

I posted this on the FB Slick group... a few weeks bac, to guage interest, so if you saw it there, let me know.

I don't want to get interest from that group, when you've already mentioned your interest here. Then you'll wind up with two.

Nice job Cory, I know how much work stuff like this can be! I had a few photo ideas I wanted to try out but I have been absolutely swamped this fall, with a photoshoot every weekend. :D

Effie, your May shot is very nice. Great composition!

Really wasn't to bad until I uploaded the first version only to find that when they cropped it, it cut off some of the wording on the cover shot with Cam and once it's uploaded you can't edit the actual calendar so I had to delete that one off Lulu (what kind of name is Lulu?) anyway I had to start all over and do it again. Guess that's how you learn, won't make that mistake again.

Nice Job Cory! Thanks on behalf of the group. I had planned to send a pic or two but, I don't know if it was the heat or just inertia that kept me from taking the photos. Will definitely have some to you for the next edition, if you're still up to it.

Forgot to ask (and too lazy to look it up) but what size photos do you need?
