Epic road trip concludes... (pics added)

Post by Hoofbeat Racer »

Ok guys. Long awaited project is about to start. Heading out at 0300 tomorrow for an 1800 mile 3 day road trip that will encompass several mountain passes, meeting up with 2 members, battling customs and border crossing agents, one hangover, and a whole pile of diesel fuel burning!!! Purpose of the trip is to give an all original unmolested multi-passenger Ford motor product a good home and a stable mate for my slick. Let's just say that it will definately put the "hoofbeat" next to the "racer". Pics to follow once I get back hopefully in time for chat Sunday nite.

Wish me luck!!

Hmmmm, "Multi-Passenger" sounds promising.

Only if I get to count my trip to Edmonton and back on Sunday. Maybe we need to set up a scoring system of some nature.

Yeah especially in October. Crossing the border should only give you half points after August... we could be risking snow at any turn.. 8) particularly in the mountains and north of Red Deer

Depends on whether or not you drug home some sort of ford or mercury! Heck, even a Lincoln.

Got home late last night. Put on 1728 miles in 3 days and had a great time and seen some great people. Best part of trip was seeing my brother and spending probably the most time together that we have ever had. Huge thanks goes out to Mike Kincheloe (oldtrucks) for his hospitality and all the effort he put in to making this all happen. Mike did all the legwork in getting the Bronco out to his place and storing it for me for the past 6 weeks. He openned up his home to us and we were made to feel most welcome. Can't wait to do it again eh Mike!!

Also got to see my buddy John again and have a coffee with him and finally check out the mysterious 64 Mercury BBW . Unfortunately the Samsquatch has a curse on it and all pics turned out very blurry. In fact, it was even blurry in person  To prove its existence you will have to look for it at Slickstock next summer I think.

Now for all you waiting for pics, here they are.

I went for coffee to John's, my bro went for breakfast cruise in a Z06 that his buddy had where we stayed. Nice life...

Finally home out behind my house, got some new rubber on it and took the running boards off. Big improvement already
