Houston get together part 2
The club get together will be on Sunday November 6 at his place in Brookside (Pearland) starting around 2:00.
Its south of the Beltway at Cullen.
Tom, post an address.
You need to set the day aside so we can get together and lie, talk slicks, eat burgers, drink beer, and have a good time.
Starting at 2 should give us plenty of time to visit and still let everyone get home before dark.
No alibi's and no excuses.
You out of towners like Erne, Jeep Butt and Michelle, and anyone else who would like to come are cordially invited and I hope you can make. You guys are family.
Saturday, Nov. 5 is the Conroe Swap meet so don't say I didn't warn you.
BT, Dale, I and several others will be going up for that.
And if you can think of anyone you'd like to bring with you, do so, just let me know they're coming.
Please let me know if you can make it so we can plan the food.
Tom has a hydrant in his shop that's high enough off the ground that the dogs can't piss on it, but if you don't want tap water, bring what you want to drink.
See you on the 6th.

Pardon the thread hijack:
Word got around, the next one, same 3 and a few more. As time went on, we grew to about 10-15 Broncos and about 20 people.
The ticket is to not ask anybody, just be like, "I made the plans, here's the details, either you show up or you don't." Then you post all the fun you and yourself had and "hope you can come next time." And just keep doing it... eventually you'll get people out of their house and in their trucks.
As you were.... carry on.

When I arranged our first Bronco Meet and Greet. I picked a time, a date and a place. I said, here are the directions and the details. Me, and two other guys showed up. We had 3 Broncos there.Truckrat wrote:Same here Chris! I know of about a dozen Slick owners and drivers who live near here
and although I have tried many times to host a get together, could not get any interest in it at all. TR

Gary, wish you could be here. We have a slight chance of rain on Sunday , so I guess I need to clean a space up for Mike and Miss Daisy in my garage just in case it sprinkles. Hope to have 4 or 5 Slicks here. That ought to make my Chevy neighbor happy seeing all those Fords here. If it rains alot we just have some mud race in my back yard.

I think Mike is probably fairly waterproof, although he wouldn't take up too much room anyway!
The mud race sounds good; I can get the Bronco ready easier than patching together one of the Slicks! I just hope your back yard is not otherwise known as Clear Creek!

Tom,
I can already answer that. Mine is great for pulling down fences, but it don't do NOTHING fast, except gulp gas!
Also, is there anything I might bring as far as food, beverages, etc.?
