Greetings all
Finally got back into a slick by getting me a 63 stepside.

Only thing it needs to be drivable is front brakes.
but was wondering if anybody had seen these door pockets before?

I've seen lots of slicks around but have never seen a door panel replaced with a zippered pocket inside the door. any clue as to if this was a option from Ford or something after market :?:

Seen a few. Think it was an option from factory. Can buy them re-pop'd know though.

We call 'em "beer coolers". :lol:

They were an extra cost option. You will find trucks with one or two. The plastic retainer rings always break. One of our members makes billet aluminum replacements. They just recently started to repro these, but only in the color of black I believe.

nice 63, I had one beer cooler in mine the pass side was just the steel cover, I can not use it because of my window kit :cry:

I would spring the $ and get the disk convesion kit...I would hate to see something hapen to that nice grille!!!!

Will for sure get a minimum of front disc, sway bar and rear tank installed
will eventually sub frame her but thats in the future
