outdoor storage question

Post by Ford4jack »

I have a rusty 65 project frame that is going to need to set outside for year or so and was thinking about spraying it with thinned down chain saw bar oil.

Anybody have a better idea on what I could put on it.

I would tarp it down but the humidity here is terrible.

I would think that's a good idea, as long as it ain't too thin.

Here in the BiKiNi State I Ospho things like that first then,
I oil them down & let 'em sit on the open like that too.

I also use herbicide to keep weeds & vines down & away. :thumright:

Remember by-product of plant photosynthesis is Oxygen.
Oxygen is what causes rust (Fe O3 =Iron Oxide) to occur. :2cents:
