Tom G's truck getting finshed up!

Post by needmoretime »

For the long bed folks, here is Toms 65CC I have been finishing since late fall. Still needs int done which is under way. Ranger buckets that will be Turq and white. This is a 352 3spd on the floor with OD. The tank is under the bed.

Charlie,
I think its time to start the delmarva chapter since you have dedicated your whole life to finding members. Kinda like the stock price splitting! I knew someone from PA once that was pretty good finding slicks and new members untill he decided to go with a 4V intake.

BTW, we need a cast iron fe 4V intake! Yes the heavy one!

No we don't. At least not in a hurry. Since somebody didn't come through for me like he said he would I put the truck back together again so it would run.

My insurance covers my chiro. :)
I'd still like to have an intake. That fits. But it will be a project for the next engine teardown.
Now I need to figure out the timing and maybe adjust the mixture, since my plugs were Casper-ghost white. The timing on this thing puzzles me. I can set up a dohc engine, but this thing is too simple for my brain to grasp. At least it runs again.

Larry,
Please hold manifold or get with DV. We learned something about 360 manifolds that have the desirable T cast in them. They don't fit 65 352's.

Thanks,

That's odd, what makes them not fit? :hm:

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

The intake would not go down low enough into the 'valley' between the heads for the intake bolts to go into their holes. It's at least 1/8th" off. We tried the intake on two engines and same result on both. :hm:
