Rochester 2g carbs?

Post by lo6fo »

I recently got a 3x2 offy manifold for my 64 292. I'm planning on running 3 Rochester 2gs. I'm lost at modifying the first and third carb for the the setup. I want to run a progressive linkage with only the center carb running at idle and manually choked. I've done a quick search on this topic with not much info found. Can anyone help or point me in a direction where i can find more info?

Google '2g tripower'. About 4 entries down is a good artical in the hotrod forum with what you want. Is your manifold drilled for rochesters? I have only seen 3 bolt. Ford carb types.

Curious as to why the Rochester 2g's?
Unless you're "married" to the Offy intake, you might want to take a look at Ted Eaton's 3X2 intake test over on Y-Blocks-Forever. Just sayin':

If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

I found the info I needed over on the hamb. The Rochesters are what I've got. The manifold is made for 3 bolt ford carbs but I've bought 3 to 4 bolt carb adapters from speedway. I'm trying to do this on a half ass budget. I've got a wife that completely hates my f100
