Ok, I am working on getting the hotel info ready. I am pretty positive it will be back at the Settle Inn in Altoona Iowa. It will be the weekend in Aug before Labor Day weekend.
It looks like it will officially start Thursday Aug 21st and run through Sunday Aug 24th but many will probably be there on Monday Aug 18th. We have to move it back one week from when it was this Year because of the Iowa State fair. There is no way we could get a decent price for Hotel rooms during the fair. If we move it ahead a couple weeks we would be competing with Adventureland and Knoxville for Hotel rooms.

I know this messes up people with children and not sure what else we can do. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Hope to see eveyone who was at SlickStock 1 through 5 at SlickStock 6...............Kid

You got it fixed and the dates work for me :D My youngest is in her last year of high school so she can fend for herself for a week while we hang in Altoona :D. I am looking forward to actually making it not only to a Slick Stock but making it in a Slick :D.

I've been to the last 3 Slick Stocks and don't plan to miss the next one either.
Rode in a lot of different trucks this time and had a blast doing it.
Thank you to all who gave this old Okie a ride to and from the different places we went.
I really want to return the favor and bring my own Slick this next time.
Yeah yeah, same old story, I know, but if I can show up with a Slick in 2014,
I will have crossed off a line on my bucket list. TR

YEah, where is that clock?? - how many days do I have to get a slick done for SS6???

I've said I have to have one done for each of the past two slickstocks but have failed miserably with the only progress being teardown and parts searching!! My wife says I have too many project trucks - I don't agree that I have too many but I will admit having several does make it difficult for me to focus on one!

My slick projects include a '65 F100 short bed and a '63 F100 unibody shortbed. Right now I'm thinking the '65 will get the attention first, primarily because the current plans for it require less work and thus I'll have a better chance of actually getting it done before SS6. But stay tuned and check back frequently because I tend to change my mind on what project will get attention first almost as frequently as I change my underwear......

Just two? I'm on my fourth for this year! Just don't ask how many are completed!
The current slick "double trifecta":
61 F100 short unibody
62 F350 towtruck
63 F100 short styleside
64 F100 long styleside
65 F100 short styleside
65 F100 long styleside
66 F100 short styleside
Then there's the Broncos, Falcon, Torino, Cyclone, and five or six daily drivers!

Two SLICKS......

I also have four bump projects('67 F250, '68 F100 shortbed, '69 F100 Lortbed, and '71 F350 car hauler (originally a motor home)), an F1 (technically, I could say two F1s) and a '37 two door humpback........

Oh - and a couple vintage stock car projects waiting in the wings too! ('64 Galaxie, '69 Mustang on '68 Galaxie frame and '72 mustang on '72 Torino frame)

I'm quite confident I won't ever get them all done but its fun to dream....
