'66 Custom Cab side trim?

Post by LM14 »

How does the piece of side trim come off on the cowl between the back edge of the hood and front edge of the door? Mine has the piece on the right side way out of line with the other pieces. Want to take it off and see if I can get it a little closer to being in line with the rest of the trim. Looks like it may actualy be upside down if that's possible. It's about 1/4" low and 1/4" too far forward.

Thanks,

Two nuts on the retainer clips, accessed by removing the kick-panel mounted vent door, New clips may correct the alignment, and it is possible to be mounted upside down; you MIGHT be able to apply pressure up or down on the trim enough to allow the clips to release, but that's pretty "iffy".
