Installed my 292 Y block this weekend, Now I can start putting the front end back together. Should be ready to fire up by next weekend I hope, as soon as I figure out the three speed on the tree linkage deal!

Well, I started removing most of my front end that I had put on last weekend. I put the spacers in the wrong place on my shift tube and the only way to get to it is to removed the core support inner fender, and the column I just put in. That's why they call them projects I guess..... What's a guy to do? Hey

I changed out the seat tracks for a better fit. I had installed a bench from a '92 F150 years ago by welding some plate the the seat tracks that matched the holes in my '65. I took the tracks off, and merged the mounting plate from the original seat with the part that mounts to the seat on the '92 version. Worked better than expected. The placement of the tracks on the 92 were the same as for the '65.

Put my radiator in last night..... That was the last thing I need to do before pushing it out of the garage and putting on jack stands and firing it up for the first time in over a year. Oh, I need to stop and pick up 5 gals of gas on my home first. Then fire it up ! Can't wait!

Well, I took mine for it's first test drive in over a year. But not without issues........ I returned home after a mile down the road with a heater core leaking inside the truck. By passed it for now and tried another test drive got about 3 miles down the road and the turn lamps, dash lamps, fuel gauge and water temp stopped working. Back home to inspect the wiring thought I had it corrected so I drove it to church on Sunday. Lights were still giving me fits on and off, on and off! I should have spent a little more time at church on Sunday because how I talked to my little red truck after this light problem..... Well lets just say Lord have mercy! And forgive me!

So, now it's back in the garage the fuse box is on one side of the garage and the tuck on the other! So, that's the project I will be working on the rest of the week.

But, the good news is.....it seen daylight for the first time in over a year..... That was a nice feeling! Just didn't last that long! LOL

3 different issues (not counting the heater)

flickering headlights usually the headlight switch itself,no fuse but an internal circuit breaker in the switch.dash lamps are controlled by a resistor coil(spring) on the headlight switch.

turn lamps most likely the flasher especially if the brake lights are working.

fuel and water temp gauges are run thru the instrument voltage regulator.

Used the slick to take a load to the scrap yard then did a quick run to the PYP yard. 1 66 F350 there but pretty well picked over. Then came back and fixed one of the power windows, just a screw backed out so it was good to go in 5 min

Finally got tired of it not just running right, ran a number of tests, determined the #1 intake cam lobe is almost flat on my 300, pulled the cam, and ordered the new parts.
