Marty, Keep your head low for the next couple days. I hope all fellow macsters are prepared. It's kind of hard to prepare for something so big. I've made my store raid like everyone else. I'm putting water in baggies for ice. Bought food that can be made on the grill and even put in for a vacation day.
Take care all macsters.

As of 8:30 am today only two new claims came my why, a pair of Toyotas at someone's house that probably got whacked by a tree. One is a Prius...no great loss. Everything is okay here at the castle, only lost power for about 6 hrs last night.

Dwight – glad to hear things are good across the pond. We kept power all through over here so the beer stayed cold. Most likely will be cutting down a tall Locust tree which is leaning. Seems to be the only “damage”. All in all made out good. Lots of folks had it bad though.
Didn’t know you’re in insurance

Made it through the hurricane here, only lost power for a few minutes. Part of a big maple blew down and landed on my daughter's Acura, dented hood and fender and cracked windshield... It's an '89 with 150K+ on it, let's see if it's worth fixing...glad the rest of you all made it through! Hope the Delaware guys made it OK, looks like a lot of rain went their direction...

If it's just a beater car fix the windshield and take a "appearance allowance" on the dents. Cash in your pocket or erases the deductible if you have one. Resale value on that car is nothing much so why fix it?
