Hello all I'm April. I hail from Oregon- but am stationed in Washington. Picked up this 1963 F100 custom cab SWB in November back in my home town, and hauled it up so I can get working on it. It has a running 223 I6 and a 3 on the tree transmission. It currently suffers from affliction called "parked". I need to fix the rear wheel seal as it is leaking. Brakes are probably contaminated and I saw yesterday a brake line leaking as well.
Currently in the middle of moving homes- New house has a 2 car garage so I can actually start working on it. In my day job I am a machinery technician in the Coast Guard. I work on marine diesels, hydraulics, air conditioning, some electrical, water systems, etc... Been in for 14 years and been all over the world, 8 of those years at sea(4 different sips), 1 year in the Arctic, and a few years shore side working on lighthouses. Spent Dec'10-Feb'12 over in the sandbox for OIF/OND/OEF (technically OIF ended the week after I got there). I did not see combat of any way shape or form. I saw the inside of Camp Arifjan and Camp Patriot in Kuwait.. That's the excitement of the deployment.
Been lurking around the boards for a couple weeks, reading a few of the write ups and enjoying the progress pictures. Lots of great work out there!
I dont have much to show right now but what I have to start with.http://s673.beta.photobucket.com/user/cuttercoasty/library/63%20F100%20shortbox
