Doing a 2 week job in Pa. Thought the name of the town where im staying was interesting. Mechanicsburg,Pa. wonder if theres any mechanics there.

Not Far From Topeka Is The Lovely Town Of Flush Kansas. I'm Told That The Brown Trout Migrate Down-Stream From There Every Year.. LOL..

i remember some strange town names from when i lived in Texas
one was called Cut -n- Shoot

i once got a traffic ticket in Hell, Michigan

Yeah, Cut and Shoot is next door to one of our bi-annual preferred swap meets. It's hard to tell now though! It's also not too far (by Texas standards) from Gun Barrel City.

We have a Mechanicsburg here in Ohio, not too far from me. It's amazing how many states have towns with the same names.

The government has a big armory at Mechanicsburg, lots of our ordance came out of there.

We have other towns here in Okla )( homa with unusual names besides Slick, such as....
Checotah - Where Carrie Underwood is from
Bugtussle - Former Speaker of the House Carl Albert lived there
Slapout - Who knows what happened there, but no doubt it wasn't pleasant for somebody
Bowlegs - Retirement community for old cowboys
Nowatuh - Bad drought?

And lots more I can't think of right now. Oh well. TR

really, a town called Bugtussle ?.......I thought that was only a made up name on the "Beverly Hillbillies"...In West Virginia there are two towns next to each other..Junior and Maybe....so the sign reads.........Junior 6 miles...Maybe 7...........Dave
