Post by WrongBedDave »

Does anyone on here have clear parking light lenses installed? If so id like to see some pictures, preferably on aluminum or chromed grilles but anything goes. Im debating if theyre something i wanna put on the truck.

Gary: Maybe "old", but don't think "original". Pretty sure the original's were amber.

Gerald im going to respectfully disagree

i think (could be wrong) that the clear were used 61 and 62 and the amber 63-64

the lenses either color came out in 57 and fit 57-64

Well, Brian, based on your superior knowledge, I stand corrected. Sorry Gary. I guess I had 63 in my mind as that's what the OP has. Or....I just made shit up. That happens sometimes also.

Thanks for all the pics guys! if i can get or make headlight mounting hardware for my 63 aluminum grille (its missing all of the little tiny pieces that are riveted to the grille. Ill probably go with the clear lenses, or theyre cheap enough i may just pick up the lenses and see how i like em. Anyone have a picture of clear lenses on a yellow grille?

ah bummer, im keeping an eye out for trucks around here being parted out. There was a guy selling a couple of grilles off of a uni he was working on but i didnt think to pick up one of grilles for the parts. i wish i had noticed the pieces being gone when i picked up the grille.

i know by 64 amber lenses were mandated by the gov't. the clear lenses on my 61 were original, but my tail light lenses were stamped "lmc" :cussing:
