Mystery Pic o' the Week

Post by Max »

I thought this would be interesting. If you happen to see a Slick on the road or parked someplace and can take a pic of it - post it and see if it belongs to anyone here.

This Slick was taken my my brother-in-law in Colorado with his iPhone while driving someplace. My sister actually pointed it out and supposedly 'freaked out' when she noticed the curvature of the cab as being a Slick (yea sis!).

So, does this belong to anyone here?

This brings up a point. What about the cards inviting slickowners to the site we used to have? I see them all over the place. Would be nice to carry a few with me so I could hand them out. Don't have a graphics program or I'd just make some up.

cards

Post by Truckrat »

jenkins.gif Hey guys, that logo would look cool on T shirts. Don't know who came up with it, but nice job.
What would it take to have a box of them printed up? I would kick in on it.
There are a couple of guys at my job who drive Slicks I could recruit. Cards like those say a lot more than a note scribbled on paper and stuck on a windsheild wiper, don't ya think? TR

Chris, I think I may still have some of those decals you made up (if Gigi packed them). I bought them from you over at the old site (gigiscowboy, divorce caused the nick change). They looked great! I think my old 66 short's new owner left the one I put on it's back window too.

Here's a b'card layout that I printed up for Uncle Skip for his b'day a couple o' years back. Just noticed the website is the old one.

[albumimg]2509[/albumimg]

We met Darren Warren at Pate by sticking this on his Slick in the parking lot.

:hm: J-Canuck, it was just an example of one I had made. Not intended for public consumption. I can make blanks, a template or whatever if people wanted. I think you missed the point completely. :o  :D

I made some for myself a good while back, and used the club logo from the MSN site. Turned out really nice, especially when printed on an American Flag background card!

Here's a blankety-blank generic version of the Skipper card if anyone is interested - with the current, correct website.

Almost bought this truck but it was a long bed. The business bought it and stickered it up.
This Z-one has an accessory biz and has a fleet of old fords parked all over town including a
65 Galaxy, 63 Comet, a 61 S55 Merc, and a couple others.

I guess its not entirely a mystery but I finally got a pic.
Guy wanted $6K.

Its a 390/4speed truck
