Re: 1964 Ford f100 Custom Cab Shortbox restore
Thanks for the positive comments guys. My goal for on the road is next summer. Unfortunately winter as arrived here in good ol Montana and reassembly will be slow due to me being lazy and not getting a gas line dug out to the shop last summer. Now I have no heat and even on nice days the cold concrete floor keeps it pretty cool in the shop. The other day it was -5 here and we are expecting colder than that next week. But the other body parts are still being worked on so all body pieces will be ready to go when it does warm up next spring

Nice job, just one question. where does someone find a new handle for a spot light like yours.

I noticed that too! Maybe the passenger is a smoker.....or maybe the passenger is going to power up the ipad for navigational purposes.....

Yep unity is where I got my parts for the spotlight. And on the lighter the father and mother in law were smokers way back when this truck was new. Father in law took a lighter out of an old John Deere tractor and installed in the truck

looks killer. other than the 4 speed and 4.10s our trucks were identical. (accept yours is way nicer) do you have a picture of before you started the restoration?

Yep I noticed that the other day when I saw ypur thread the other day. I think you can see the truck in the back ground of the motor pictures not all the way disassembled. I was digging through some old pictures the other day and found an old black and white of it when it was 5 months old.

Re: 1964 Ford f100 Custom Cab Shortbox restore
Yea it was in good shape. Just needed minor body work dents and dings. The drivers side floor pan part of it had to be replaced and both cab corners replaced due to rust. I have had it since 1978 and father in law bought it new, He and I always kept everything washd out well to avoid rust, but some just could not be helped

Picked up an NOS lighter the other day so the passenger side looks like it was ordered from the factory now.
