Rear lowering springs?
Does anyone still offer rear lowering springs for '65-'66? I thought LMC used to list them a few years back but I don't see them in the current catalog. I've seen some fore earlier years in street rod catalogs but not for these years.
Thanks
Thanks

Yes, I'm fully aware of hanger/shackle kits from DJM and Airbaggit.
I was asking about drop leaf spring options.

If there is nothing really wrong with your current springs, you can have them rearched for a lower ride height.

No problem - I was originally planning on the hanger shackle kit as you suggested but after taking apart my spring packs I found significant pitting in the main springs where the second leaf 'pad' rode on them. Even to the extent that they have 'de-arched' somewhat at that point. So i'm thinking it may not be a good idea to use them. So if I have to buy new springs, I figured I should look at drop spring options - if there are any....
Thanks for the pics - do you have a good idea how much rear travel you will have with the 4" drop? That was also somewhat of a concern for that option - does the frame need to be notched?

I think the 65 does need to be notched This is on my sons 69 the 69 has 1 more inch of travel so we did not have to notch it....or it hasn't given us any problems yet. Maybe someone else can chime in on this. We will have to check the travel for you.

Hey SlixtyFive - Eaton's the only offering I know of. Moog is out of the game. Here's the page with the rear leafs with some lowering built in you were talking about: http://www.eatonsprings.com/57-66fordf100.html
Agree that it's spendy. Including the Eaton page reference for other members.
