Slick 60's

Yea, yea, spare me the anti-Chevy nonsense. I thought this was pretty interesting and something you don't read about everyday. In rural Nebraska, a former Chevy dealer kept over 500 cars & trucks from the 60's with about 50 of them having less than 10 miles on the odometers and is putting them up for sale this Fall. Impalas, Bel Airs, Corvairs, Vegas, pickups...

Some lo-milers:
1965 Impala - 6 mi on the OD
1956 Cameo pickup - 1 mi on the OD
1978 Vette - 4 mi on OD

Could probably Google: Lambrecht Collection to find out more.

Max I had seen that quite an impressive low mile collection .

I'd love to have the 58 Cameo and/or the 63 red/white Impala. The cameo looks like it has roof damage to me. I feel like this country was blessed to have had the great cars and trucks that was built in the 50s and 60s on both sides of the fence IMHO.

Yes but very easy resto's on most of them as rust should not be an issue anywhere .

This auction is in my backyard only 15 miles away.

Anybody going to this? All the hotels in my town are all booked up. Jay Leno is reportedly coming to this and has booked the entire top floor of the nicest hotel we have. There are people from around the world going to this auction. Everybody and there brother areputting there junk out by the road with 4sale signs. Its going to be a crazy weekend!!

That junk is going to go for stupid money. I think Velocity TV will be showing some of the auction today or tonight.

Anyway,
my brother went to it (he was even on TV, lol), he sent me a pic of a Fat Fender that was there on FB.
A few of the cars & trucks were really nice - stored inside etc.
They would still need ALL new seals, hoses, & the brakes redone to be safe.
Then there were the ones outside..................
He looked at a 64 Chevy Impala SS. It had been out in the field since the 60s.
Looked real good on the outside you could see straight through to the ground from one bumper to the other though.
Actually a real shame, the guy who bought the Cameo - going to just stick it in a building and leave it as is.
So after after being hidden away for over 50 years - it's being hidden away..........................

I didn't realize there were some that were stored outside. I thought they were all in warehouses.

95% or better of the cars were stored outside and in the elements. It was a very sad deal brand news cars set outside since the day they came off the truck.
