In my '63 F100 someone put in a 351W - Auto

Now ever time I go to do work on the Engine I'm asked what is it for.

Fairlane number on the prefix C for 60 9 for 69 OE generally means Fairlane.

Which side does the water pump exit on? Driver's or passenger's side? Other than that, and main bearings, there aren't a lot of changes in 351W engines until you get to injection.

Most parts interchange all years with the exception of water pumps, timing covers, main bearings, rear main seal, fuel pump eccentric, and rocker arms.

You have a '69 casting number, tell them it's for a '69 351 from a Torino or Mustang.

I've fought his for years buying gaskets/bearings to build 351W based race engines. I usually tell them a 351W from a 70 Mustang for early stuff and a 351W from an '84 F250 for later stuff.
