Front wheel bearing hub question

Post by 64fordf100292v8 »

Hi everyone. I need a new hub for a 66 f100 2wd that Im working on. Went to a junkyard this morning but none of the trucks had any on them, all gone.

My question is, will a front hub off of a 67-72 Ford truck be the same? Thanks for any and all help. :D

'67 and '68 might, possibly '69.
The front brakes were widened after '66, and the hub was extended accordingly.
Check if the front brake shoes are the same from your '66 to a '67, '68 etc, and you'll know.
If you cannot tell the year of a potential donor truck, the wider brake shoes will give it away as incompatible.
If you find a complete '72 front end, maybe you might like to swap out the narrower '66 fronts for the wider front brakes.
You'll need the backing plates with everything attached, hub and drum. I THINK that the front wheel cylinder will be the same.

front brake drums 65-67 since it takes the same shoes from 1948-67
