Has anyone used bed liner on underside of bed and cab?
If so, are you happy with it??
Even if you haven't - got any thoughts on the concept?

Re: Has anyone used bed liner on underside of bed and cab?
My boy rubberized the bottom of his cab it looks great and deadens the sound.
I have read a lot of comments of folks objecting to the practice thinking it hides something. However if you have lots of pics of the rebuild process, I don't think it is any different than whatever Ford sprayed on the bottom and inside the doors to stop the oilcanning and deaden the sound. Its just a modern version of undercoating, in my opinion.
I say go for it.

It does not matter what you think, it only matters what you do about it!

The other factor I should mention is that I live on gravel (1.25 miles from blacktop)........

I used the Herculiner roll on bed liner on the bottom of the cab and the bottom of the bed. I also used it on the bottom side of the front inner fender aprons. My thinking on that was to stop any rocks from hitting them and leaving a chip on the painted side.
I think that it did help as far as sound deadening.

Re: Has anyone used bed liner on underside of bed and cab?
A friend did the entire underside of his '84 Bronco tub, as well as the lower 1/2 of the inside, and the difference is night and day. What was a drafty, chilly echo-chamber became a quiet, warm and dry truck. It's still rhino'ed to this day, and despite being 'wheeled hard and put away wet with regularity, it's held up remarkably well.
I say go for it. If anything, it'll slow down the rust.

Yes - I used Raptor Spray in Bed Liner and love it. Used it on the underside of the cab, inside cab floor, and behind the tank. Finished off my new floors and supports nicely. Carried it up to the bottom side of the firewall lip. As soon as I can get the garage warm enough I plan on doing the underside of the bed before I send it to paint. Has a nice even finish, no lumps.

I did the botton of my CC and the bottom of the inner fenders. I do plan on getting the underside of the bed with this stuff.
I used the spray in bed liner from SPI. http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/Sp ... liners.htm

I used spray undercoating on my old 69 4X4 back in 1984, used the truck in mud, snow, sandy beaches, hunting and fishing & it is still tougher than "wang leather" and rust free. Highly recommended.

Al's Liners has a product to resist heat and noise, under $50.00 for a gallon shipped from Amazon. Can't tell you how well it works, YET My intent is to use it over the POR15, then topcoat it with Al's regular liner per manufacturer's suggestion.
