Rear axle bolt pattern to match crown vic IFS swap

Change of direction with the truck and now ripping out the I-beams to put in a crown vic IFS. Since the bolt pattern of the crown vic is 5x4.5 it now wont match stock rear axle so is there another vehicle that used 5x4.5 that i could get the axle shafts out of and install in the same ford 9" or am i better off finding a complete new axle? Im already flipping the axle on top of the springs so mounts dont matter since ill be re welding them on anyway, if theres another axle that a bit narrower that would work too, trying to get very wide tires and wheels with a deep dish -offset to fit. Thanks!

And if anybody wants a I-beam with disc brakes setup that's been completely gone through all parts sandblasted with new everything including all tie rods, springs, poly bushings, kingpins, etc. let me knowand make an offer, in GA no shipping.

My '61 Uni has a CV front end. It also has the 8.8 out of a CV. It's a little narrower than I'd like, but it's nothing a couple of spacers can't fix

i don't think the axles would swap but most 4x4 rangers have 8.8 diffs and they are 5x4.5

Just get your rear axles and drums re-drilled. Quick and easy.

There IS another option to match the rear with the CV bolt pattern. In the early 80's Ford made a light duty pickup truck designated the F-100 (not to be confused with the F150 which was also produced at that time).
The years were 81, 82, and 83 if memory serves, but I might be off a year either way.
Anyway, these trucks came with a 9' differential and had a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. They are also wider than the 9" in our trucks which gives you a more similar track width to the CV front end.
Surprisingly, there are more of these trucks in the yards that on might think.

try a rear end out of an explorer , narrower plus disc brakes . As for strength , think about this look at all the high HP mustangs out there . All running 8.8 rears .

I am doing a crown vi swap on a 68 and we used the Crown vic rear end. The nine in was too narrow to use the same wheels all the way around. Unless you have 600 hp I think the 8.8 will be fine.

What is the width of the CV? The 80-83 F100 with 4 1/2" bolt pattern is about 66" wide.

Did not measure but it matches the front end. Crown vic front and crown vic rear. I just goes together.
