Been awhile on the updates but I'm still plugging away.

Vintage air unit hooked up(heat side anyway), easy system to install, very straight forward.

2 speed wiper motor with delay, in and working. Waiting on some new linkage though, my bushings ate pretty shot.

Put on rear air shocks, the ones team321 recommended for the mark viii rear clip where way to squishy. Now I can haul stuff without squashing the rear.

Electric fan in and hooked up, nice and cool.

Still no digital gauges, money, money.

Seat belts in.

Put a few hundred miles on, runs good. I ran a 14.6 quarter mile, fast enough for a 50 year old body I guess.

I'll get some pics up soon.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I really love it. Blast to drive. Can't park anywhere without somebody wanting to talk about it or take pics.

Got a million questions! With the rake you have on the truck, do you happen to remember the pinion angle? Did you stay with the MKVIII pattern on the rear wheels? What did you end up with for fuel tank?
Thanks for any help!

I don't remember an exact degree, I will be under it next week, I'll check it for you.

I got some adapters off ebay for the rear too. I intend to have them re drilled when I take the bed back off to box the rear frame.

I got here is a link for the tank I used. I have some pics of it somewhere. They told me the large center baffle would be enough to control fuel slosh.....it is not. Under 1/2 tank the fuel pump starves under hard accel and cornering. I have a walbro external pump, I'm going to add a surge tank to remedy this problem.

I passed the filler neck through the frame, the filler itself is on the back of the passenger wheel well inside the bed.
That's a piece or 4" x6" x 5/16" angle iron I used on the rear of the frame. It acts as a cross member and I will weld a reciever to it. I will also make a removable liscence plate that mounts into the reciever hitch, basically hiding the hitch behind the plate.

I finished my headliner, what a pain in the butt all alone. It came out pretty good. I cut it outta frp from lowes, covered it with foam headliner material and then wrapped it in some stuff called trexx, all from Joanns.
Price: 33 frp, 15 foam, 20 trexx, 30 spray adhesive. 95 is a lot better than 280 from lmc and I think it looks better.

I'm done with the pattern, pm me if you want it, you just pay for the ride.

Those screws look jacked up but they are lined up, must just be the angle.

Nice looking truck. Alot of quality workmanship!

I like the paint booth you built. Did you have any filters in the fans? How did you keep the bugs and other flying debris out of the paint?

I sectioned it into the frame. Don't remember exactly how much off hand, 1.5 or 2 inches seems to come to mind. Just kept going till I liked the ride height.

I put filters on the intake side of the four intake fans and about eight filters on the exhaust openings(no fans on the exhaust openings).

If I had to spray another car or truck I would put as many fans as I could find in the frame. Probably try eight intake fans and 16 exhaust openings. I used the el cheapo fans from lowes, got them on clearance for 12.00 each. Filters where the bulk cheap filters from lowes also. Like 2.00 each.

The booth just did not clear as fast as I wanted, it works fine for painting bikes but not cars or trucks. I'm hoping to build a permanent paint booth in an outbuilding for future jobs.
