brake pedal bushing housing broke - should I be concerned?

No, not the plastic bushing itself but the pot metal sleeve that is 'wedged' into the pedal mounting bracket and the plastic bushing slides into.

Should I be concerned?? I am planning to replace the plastic bushings and the broken part doesn't seem to be where the most pressure would be applied in normal use. I should point out this is a manual tran truck so technically, it serves both the brake and the clutch pedal.

All thoughts/comments appreciated.

What I did and in my opinion the better repair is to replace it with a roller bear set up. Makes for a smoother pedal and will not wear out in your life time.

Steve sells a kit and did mine for me on my 66 F100.

Thanks for the info Brian - I didn't know something like that is available.

Yes, Brian, thanks for the link. I sure like that approach better too!

Funny how often all this classic 'stang and Bronco stuff works for our trucks.
