a week of looking at and talking about slicks has motivated me to do a few things

first one was put ss magnets on my glovebox and heater box cover. no room left on either one now.
then i changed out my fan belt
ihad a leaky connection on my oil pressure tube near the firewall so i replaced the copper tube and extra connections with some black plastic tubing recommended by the auto parts, supposedly much better than the generic clear stuff you get in the kits. pita taking the instrument panel out. now i can clean up the oil that over time dripped on the firewall and bell housing.

still have to change a leaky exhaust manifold gasket on the drivers side.

then i am going to do a serious washing top and underside and see if i cant get a little shine back in my badly faded paint.

driver side manifold gasket was blown out in the bottom center. not sure why it was only on 2 years. manifold face looked ok.

bigger fun was rubbing compound, rubbed out the whole truck then waxed it. got a fair shine on the 13 year old rattle can job.

going to spend the day doing some other needed stuff on the truck
