Ever heard of a 1960 Unibody?.. Not me.

There's so many exceptions from the rules when it comes to old cars and trucks that I don't argue too much I find something I've never heard of. I was just checking out Classic Trucks web to see if any work from my last days was starting to appear online and found a truck feature on a '60 Ford F-100 Unibody.

I'd say its the work of a moronic idiot, and there's no such thing as a '60 year model Unibody. Fridges '57-60 Slicks '61-66 and so-on.

Or maybe I'm the moronic idiot, any thoughts?

Yeah, lots of thoughts! '63 grille kinda gives the impression they might have missed it by a few years. Buick frame is a novel idea, DIS on an LT 1 is definitely an improvement ( if actually so equipped). DIS is probably an excellent idea if driven around Johnny Canuck's part of the woods, since I can pretty well guarantee the original Optispark wouldn't stand up to his expression of opinion!
Ah, well, to each his own; with the listed modifications, it probably has an identity crisis well beyond year of manufacture!

nice to hear from you again John

very possible it was originally sold and titled in 1960, some states issued titles for the actual year the vehicle was sold, instead of the model year.

no mention of the original vin so no way to really tell when it was built.

The writer is the moronic idiot. I have seen and talk to the owners of this unibody at a few car shows in Phenix it is a 63. I have caught it a few time that the writers in the magazine dont know what ther writing about. the writer is probably a chevy fan and the only reson he did a story on this thuck is because of the Buick drivetrane.

My thought is that even if you ignore the obvious factual errors it's still a poorly written article. I find it very difficult to read. It doesn't flow well at all, and the final sentence of the opening paragraph is especially clumsy.

I like the look and style of the truck. Don't much care for the powertrain choice but love the stance and paint.
