Finially got the numbers off of the door on the 65 I just got. Anyone out there want to take a stab at decoding?

Thanks Bertha66.............hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if the 390 is really a 352. A whole lot of power for a 352. Oh well either way I am happy with the truck.

since the door vins are so easy to remove and replace, how many do you think have been changed out over the years ?

The only reason I'd swap one is if someone caved in the door beyond repair, then I'd swap on a good door & rivet the original door tag back on.

If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

Seems that alot of 352/360's turn into 390's when the truck goes up for sale, kind of like magic
