Slick 60's

Hello All,

I am replacing the coil on my 64 F100 (engine 292). Connected to one of the posts on my old coil, I am seeing something that looks very much like a Condenser. But my condenser is inside my distributor cap. So what is this thing connected to my old Coil ?? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Does it really matter if you have a suppressor for the radio in these trucks? Been my experience that at anything above 150 you couldn't hear the radio anyway.
